A woman can receive Massage Treatments throughout the term of pregnancy. Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pain, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. During treatment, the client is lying on their side with pillows under the ankles, pelvis and belly, and under the head for comfort. There are many benefits of Massage for the expectant mother. However if you are high risk or have other health concerns, The Wellness Sanctuary recommends you to ask your OB/GYN if Massage is an option for you.

Your Therapist will ask questions pertaining to the cause, onset and duration of the pain and create a treatment plan accordingly.
